Lily gave Severus a concerned look, but decided to drop it. She looked up at the castle eagerly.

Sirius put his legs up taking up most of his side of the carriage.
Severus seemed bored and poked at his cut. He winced and deciding that the pain was not fun he left his arm alone. The carriage moved forward.

The marauders didn't seem to have very much to talk about as the carriage rolled forward. They remained fairly silent, as they rounded a bend in the lake. The Quidditch pitch was now fully in sight. James smiled at the thought of getting back to playing. "It's nice to be back," he said.

The carriage reached the front doors to the castle, and James got out.

Sirius hopped out of the carriage trying to look cool but her ended up tripping slightly. Still he managed to make it look smooth because he is Sirius.

James looked around. It was slightly odd. There wasn't very many people around. Normally the front doors were swamped full of people at the beginning of the year. He supposed that the train wreck ahd spread people out significantly more. He walked up to the front doors and pulled one open. It was the first time having to do so at the begining of the year. Normally it was already open and he'd just have to whack it to keep it open for the next person.

James made his way into the great hall and took a seat at the gryffindor table. Sirius followed.

As Severus, Lily, and Lexus entered the Great Hall Lily said "See ya," to Severus and took a seat at the Gryffindor table far away from Sirius and James.

Sirius sat next to James and laid his head on the table planning to take a nap until the feast.
Severus said goodbye to lily and then sat at the slytherin table with his friends.

Peter sat across from Sirius (and Remus followed in a zombie like fashion after him).
"I wonder if this has traumatized the first years," James said curiously. "First day at Hogwarts and the train derails. I don't know if I'd want to come back."
