"Hey babes," said James coolly. "You alright? After the train derailed you seemed a little shaken up. I think you might have bumped your head or something. You didn't seem to want me around. I hope you're feeling better now."
James smiled sweetly and leaned forward, putting his hands on the table in front of Lily.

Severus looked over at James and Lily watching them.
Sirius rubbed his forehead and ran a hand through his hair and winked at some first year girls.

"Somehow I think I'll survive," Lily said mockingly, picking up James's hand and moving it away from her. "Really! You boys!" she said disapprovingly as the 1st years went into a fit of giggles. "You'd think he was someone famous," she muttered to Lexus about Sirius.

Sirius smiled. "This is going to be a great year." he said seeming slightly smug.
Severus smiled and looked away.

James leaned away from Lily, mildly offended. He instead turned his attention to Sirius.
"Yup, great year. I'm sure we'll make great progress on that 'project' we're working on" he said in reference to trying to become animagi.

Sirus smiled at james. "Project?" Sirius said not understanding what he ment. Maybe banging his head on the table did kill that last braincell.

Lily looked curiously over at them, wondering what they were doing. Probably something dangerous... she thought, but figured it could've been something stupid that meant nothing to anyone but them, and ignored it.

Sirius shrugged and gave up on trying to remember and went back to being his charming self for the ladies.

James also went through a passive thought process that did nothing to further the plot.
Peter clapped as the final first year was sorted into Ravenclaw.
"Finally!" he cried, "Food! I'm so hungry."
"Hold up," James smiled, "I think Dippet's going to say something."
Uh oh, Peter thought. Why did James seem so excited? Did he have another stupid start-of-the-year prank up his sleeve?
But it seemed not, the headmaster finished his speech without anything exploding. Then, finally, food materialized on the plates in front of them. First years Oohed and Awed at the new experience.

"YES!" Sirius said and started loading up his plate instantly. "I'm starving!" he added be fore he started eatting.

Lily and Lexus exchanged looks as the boys started stuffing their faces before grabbing food for themselves. She hadn't realized how hungry she had been.

Severus poked at his food and stared off in thought. He really wasn't hungry. he watched Lily and Lexus wondering why she would sit by James if she hated him so.
Sirius looked up. "oh Yeah. That project." He said now remembering. "I'm hoping to get further in that before the end of the week."

"Of course you are..." James said not convinced that Sirius had any idea of what he was talking about.
Peter tried his best to tell him by making wolf howling noises.
