The headmaster asked for the prefects to take the students to their commonrooms.
James looked at Remus, the resident prefect, but he was sitting at the table drooling like a lifeless zombie. He then turned to Lily, the other prefect. Alright Lily, show the kids where to go. Use your big voice to round up all the kids.

Sirius looked at the table in thought not paying attention to whatever was going on around him because as usual it really had nothing to do with him. But is SIruis's head everything had something to do with him so he really wasn't paying attention because his focus was elsewhere for the time being.

Lily stood up and rounded up all of the first years. "First years follow me!" she said and turned to Remus. "Come on!" she said somewhat impatiently and together they led the first years to the common room and explained the sleeping arrangements and what not.

"What's that supposed to mean?" James said to Sirius, stepping through the portrait hole. "Obviously she wants me. I mean, why wouldn't she? I'm the coolest kid in school."

"Well, tomorrow we'll soak him real good." James said continuing to the dormitory. When he got to the highest room, he found Peter already there, reading a book by a muggle author.
