Natalie was in silent tears. She kept mouthing "sorry" but no words came out.
Elle was bad at comforting, but layed a hand on Natalie's shoulder. "Was that your Elven Prince? Because he definitely *wasn't* what I was expecting..." she said to Willow. "Ah, well. Doesn't matter now. We'll have to figure out a way to get out of here after we leave these guys," she spoke quietly about the elven guards.

James looked around, at a loss for words.

Biscuit was the first human to state his name, "I am Bi-Prince William of Palador. I meant no harm to the Elven Nation. The Paladorians are a loving and caring group of humans who hope to see a day in which elves, gnomes, dwarves, fairies, humans, and all other groups of people live in peaceful harmony."

"Yes, what he said," said James, "But I'm Prince James Carradine, and I'm from Frell."

"Oh, well isn't this interesting?" the elf at the red podium, which was slightly crooked, asked maliciously. "It seems we have, in our hands, some very important human figures."
The eyes of the elf at the blue podium narrowed. "Gunthar! This is to be a fair trial. Do not let your racist prejudices cloud your judgment."
"Silence!" the green elf spoke again. "And what are your names?" he looked at three who had yet to speak.
Zarkenshire stepped forward, "I am Merlin! The GREAT and MIGHTY!"
The elf at the purple podium let out a breath of rage. "He lies!" The elf cried. "The true Merlin has been dead for over a hundred years. Murdered by the witch, Morgan LeFay!"
Biscuit silently swore, how would they escape now? He was really hoping for some serious Merlin magic.

"I'm Elizabeth Marie, a simple villager, from a simple town," Elle said, grudgingly. "No more than a commoner," she gave James a dirty look as she said the word.
Natalie said nothing.

((Wait, did Natalie break any laws? She isn't a human... Maybe we should just let her go? Or should she be thrown away for "conspiring with humans".))
"You, fairy!" said the green elf. "What is your name?"
"Wait!" the blue elf said. "She is a fairy. Fairies are not banished from our kingdom, they are kind, peaceful creatures."
The red elf grunted, "This fairy has been conspiring with humans. She is no better than they."

Natalie looked up. She would *love* to be let go, but on the other hand, she was the one who made everything so much worse. "I-I'm Natalie. I am Prince William's guard to make sure he doesn't get into any trouble. We got lost, but meant no harm to any of you. As he said, in Palador we just want all races to be at peace with each other." She said all this in a small voice, not wanting for them to lash out at her.

The gypsy Esmeralda was looking in her crystal ball as the chaos unfolded. She was a little peeved that these people came through her property and stomping on her flowers. 'Curse them' she thought, 'why does this always happen!! I find a nice place to live finally and then it gets trampled on.'

((Nothing's happening I'm not quite sure how to proceed onward from this, so on Lily's behalf I think I'm going to end this chapter.))
The elven council unanimously voted in favour of lifetime imprisonment for the five humans. On the matter of the fairy, they debated a bit more, finally settling on the sentence of ten years.
They were escorted from the courthouse by a group of ten elven guards. They were taken nearly a kilometre away to the prison. It was a large, beautiful building, made of intertwined branches.
Once inside the prison, they were thrown into a large rectangular cell. It had a very warm earthy-feel to it. Similar to the outside, the inside was also made of branches weaved together. There were large holes between the branches, in which one could see the outside. However the branches were firmly in place so as it was impossible to escape. The floor was soft, and covered with grass and growing flowers.
