Lily dropped his hand quickly and felt her grow a little hot so she turned away from him quickly and started on her way to the dining hall without turning back.

James smiled. This was the second offer she had accepted. Lily was really coming on to him now. He rushed after her, then when he was directly beside her (on the right) he slowed to match her speed exactly. "So, are you looking forward to this year? I'm sure we're going to learn loads of cool stuff."

((Yeah, like that big fight we had a year or two ago, about who was on the right. Because I thought I was on the right and then all of a sudden you stated that you were on the right and I was like Hold up! I am on the right! And now I must clarify which side I am on everytime.))
James started discussing school with Lily, in attempt to impress her with his genuine care for school and education. "I'm not really looking forward to OWLs, but I'm really excited transfiguration. We're going to be learning about human transfiguration. I feel like that's something you could apply more to real life, you know? Who cares if I can turn a mouse into a snuffbox? When will I need to do that in real life? But if I could turn a person into a Rhinoceros! Now that would be cool!"

James turned to face her, somewhat offended. "We do more than just textbook reading. We do practicals. I've casted loads of spells. And I'm pretty sure next year we're doing a lot of hands-on dueling. I'm going to be an auror when I grow up."

Ouch! Major Ego bruise. She was right of course. There was no way he could single-handed take down You-Know-Who. "Well, somebody's going to do it. I don't see why that person couldn't be me."

Lily looked at him sympathetically. He was kinda cute when he was all worked up about defeating You-Know-Who. "You know what, Potter? I think if anyone could do it, it'd be you." She smiled and then became serious again. "Don't you dare tell anyone I said that." She started walking to the Great Hall again, a little faster.
