Ok maaaajor spoiler alert so if you haven't seen the movie DON'T READ THIS!!!!
I thought they did a brilliant job with the movie, but there were four major mistakes that I didn't like. I'm going to write them in order of appearance, not in order of which I liked least.
1. I hated how they didn't show Fred's death. He deserved a better death than that. I loved how he and Percy shared that joke together and he was laughing as he died. I can't believe they didn't take 30 seconds to add that in there. At first I thought it was because they couldn't get the guy who played Percy, but I saw him!!! It made me sooo mad. George is probably my favourite character, so his twin not getting that recognition really kind of...well...pissed me off.
2. This may not come as a shocker to any of you, but I didn't like the lack of Lily. Ok, actually there was quite a bit of Lily and it was all amazing! Except that they never shared her hatred of James. I thought that was a pretty key part to the books. They acted as if they had been almost friends since the first day and they weren't! Snape's memories was one of my favourite parts in the book and it just didn't live up to my standards. Kind of upsetting. Decent, but I wasn't satisfied.
3. This mistake was probably my least favourite and it is called the defeat of Voldemort. Or...something like that. For one, it was supposed to be in front of everybody! Also, I wanted Harry to spell it out to Voldemort, calling him by the name of "Tom" every five seconds like in the book. I loved that. I wanted Harry to tell Voldy that he couldn't hurt any of these people because Harry had died for all of them. I wanted Harry to tell him about how he's the owner of the Elder Wand. He didn't explain any of it and most of all I wanted Voldemort to scream "AVADA KEDAVRA!" just as Harry screams his famous "EXPELIARMUS!" and then for Voldemort to die, but not by turning into ash or whatever. I hated how they did that whole scene. Well, maybe not hate, but I had high expectations and they definitely did not meet them or get anywhere close to doing so.
4. I didn't like it when Harry snapped the Elder Wand and threw it away. I wouldn't mind it so much if he had fixed his own wand first. Why'd they leave that out? Another 30 seconds! Siriusly, guys. Siriusly. I don't have much to say on this one. Just tellin it like it is.
Anyway, there were other mistakes, but I didn't think they were really too important. I was confused at why they never used the invisibility cloak after Gringotts though. But I can forgive small mistakes like that. these four just kind of amazed me that they didn't put these parts in/didn't do them right. Kind of upsetting but I loved the movie anyway!!!
