So has anyone (aside from James) heard of the cosplay show, "The Marauders"? It's basically a group of young people who got together and improvised a bunch of scenes circled around when Harry's parents were in school (kind of like our "Before the Beginning" roleplay, but live action). It's not entirely canon, but I enjoy it anyway. If you're interested, here are some videos:

This makes me want to do my own Harry Potter cosplay.

Okay, let's do it! I'll talk to cosplayers I know and ask for tips and stuff about making or buying costumes, ask them if they're interested in joining, and I think we've got the improv part of it down...

Oh snap! You have cosplayer friends? That's so awesome. I only know of one person who cosplays but I'm not really friends avec him.

Two people. You also know me. I've cosplayed before...
But yeah, I know like hardcore cosplayers who go to conventions and sew they're own costumes and stuff.
I think it's a good idea for us to begin by just cosplaying Harry Potter, though, because there's not a whole lot to that cosplay. Just a white collared shirt, a house tie, black pants or a skirt, a wand, and then optional additional stuff like robes or scarves.

Ooh! You're so fancy!
That's awesome. Sounds like fun. ;D
Mmmhmmmmm! Yeah. The costumes aren't to crazy.
Okay, I'm really excited to do this. It's going to be pretty awesome.

Okay, so how do we go about actually doing this?

We dress up in costumes with other people. That's how cosplay troupes work...
No, but in all seriousness I think we should first start that Harry Potter club you were talking about, and then ask members of that if they want to participate in a cosplay activity with us.

Righto. How do we start a club? I think we need a teacher sponsor. Which teachers like Harry Potter? I know Mr. Myers does. But is he actually a teacher? I'm confused what his actual job is... Because he's a teacher.. sort of... but I thought there was some sort of weird thingy going on with him. Like he was my English teacher pretty well all of grade nine, but then we were told that he was just a sub, and then we got this other teacher, who was apparently our real teacher, and she taught us for about a week or two and then she was all like I'm going to leave now, and then we got Myers back. Fun stuff. But he's already running a club or two isn't he? Righto. So maybe we should grab another teacher. And then how would we run it? What would we do.. Just talk about Harry Potter.. and have debates... and contests and sort ourselves... and play Harry Potter related activities... and pretend that Windsor i Hogwarts and make a map of Windsor and call it the marauder's map and be like HAHA! and then make Harry Potter arts and crafts.. and then advertise our cosplay and be like JOIN US! and then party. Yeah. Sounds like a solid plan. Let's do it.

Yes, extremely solid plan... Rock steady...
But yes, let's do it! I've got planning with Mr. Myers today, so I'll ask him at the end of class. Unless he gets replaced by that lady teacher that people keep telling me about...
