Ashley looked over the heated conversation between Lily and Amber... Most likely about what had happened in class. Hopefully Lily had seen the way she'd cared for Severus afterwards...
This Peter guy she was partnered with seemed a tad over-eager, but that was okay, just as long as it didn't interfere with her learning. Herbology was her favourite subject.
"Okay, so today we're going to try and pollinate the Fanged Geraniums without getting bitten." said Professor Sprout. "If you have any questions, come to me. Other than that, I believe you can get started."

Peter had a thought. He looked around, but it didn't seem like this thought had occurred to anyone else. So he leaned towards his partner and asked: "Is pollination like sex for plants?"

"Um..." Talking about sex with the teacher didn't seem like the most fun idea in the world. But Peter decided it would be fun. Maybe Sirius would approve. So, slowly Peter raised his hand to get Professor Sprout's attention. "Is pollination like sex for plants?" he called.

Some class members giggled.
"Well," began Professor Sprout loudly to silence them, "Pollination can enable sexual reproduction, but we're not going to be seeing any of that just yet. Today we're just going to be pollinating, and observing the effects of fertilization if you finish early."

"Okay, well that's still fun." Peter said blushing. He turned around and faced Ashley. When he thought Professor Sprout had stopped looking at him, he asked Ashley another question. "So how exactly do we do this pollination thing? Do we just -- "He started to reach towards the geranium. Suddenly it snapped at him. "Merlin's beard! That thing has enormous fangs!"

"Well, yeah. They're called 'Fanged' Geraniums for a reason." replied Ashley, "Hang on, I want to try something..." she took a piece of cotton that was sitting on the table and tossed it into the geranium's "mouth". It chewed on it for a moment before spitting it out, realizing the cotton had no sustenance. Ashley picked up the cotton ball and examined it. "There," she said, "Pollen."

"Oh, yay!" Peter clapped. "So um, what do we do now? Do we just stick it in a different plant? Spread the pollen?"

Meanwhile, Remus was still trying to figure out how to get past his and Sirius's Fanged Geranium...
