Chapter One - Platform 9 3/4

[Lily]

Lily clutched to Severus and whimpered quietly.

[James]

"Um. Uh. Yeah. Lumos!" James shouted the first spell that came to his mind. Light was brought back to the room.

James nudged his way out from under Sirius and slowly stood up. He tried not to stand on the glass part of the door or the windows on either side.

[Lily]

"Wh-what happened?" Lily asked as she lifted her head up to look around, still kind of shaky.

[Andromeda]

Andromeda had been sat out in the walk-way reading, as she'd left the compartment she was sat in due to her sisters conversation killing her brain cells. she screamed loudly as the train derailed as she was flung into the train wall 'Oh God, I'm gunna die' she thought to herself trying to control her breathing as she looked the compartments above her before the lights flickered out "Oh you have got to be kidding me" she said reaching for her wand but and so as she put her hand on it she saw the light from the carriage an crawled toward it. Andromeda gave a sighed of relief as she reached the lightened compartment to see her cousin and his friends as she knocked on the compartment door, "What on earth Happened!?" she shouted looking up threw the glass.

[James]

((That is perfect.))

James looked around, still uncertain of what to do. Something below him caught his eye. It was Jame's favourite of Sirius's cousins, Adromeda. She was crawling towards them. When she knocked on the compartment door, James knelt down and slid it open.
"Drom! You look pretty banged up, are you okay?" James asked. Suddenly he began to panic, "Oh no! How do you think Lily is? Oh God! I hope she doesn't die! We have to go look for her!"

[Andromeda]

Andromeda smiled as James opened the compartment door giving her room to stand and stretch her legs as she nodded to James "I'm fine and you guys" she said concerned then caught a glimpse of Peter "Peter pull yourself together, your not dead" she said then turned back to James as he began to worry about Lily, "I haven't seen her, do you know which carriage she's in? we can go look for her I just need to avoid Cissy and Bella you know what their like" she said as she looked down the walk way "There isn't much room down here, Crawling room only I'm afraid" she told the boys.

[James]

Peter turned around and tried to stifle his sobs. He didn't want to look like a sissy infront of the beautiful Andromeda.
"Okay, thanks. I guess I'll go search for her then." James's tone of voice became a little angrier, "Who was the idoit who drove off the tracks? Wait, do people drive the train or is it all done by magic? If Lily has even a scratch on her I am going to curse whoever is responsible."
James flipped his legs down through the door and lowered himself down.

[Andromeda]

Andromeda held back a chuckle as she heard James ramble "Woah hot-head hold your horses" she said as she rummaged through her bag to find a spare piece of parchment her ink and her quills and wrote out a quick note Lily, can you tell us if you're okay where you are before James bursts a blood vessel, Drom she finished and put her thing back in her bag and whipped out her wand and charmed it into a sparrow as it fluttered out of the window and to Lily "Well Bella can be useful when she tries" Andromeda muttered herself putting her wand away as she looked down to James and she could just see his backside, "Not you best angle, Mr Potter I must say" she said jokingly.

[James]

James looked up to face Andromeda, "I think I should still go looking for her. I don't trust that thing!" he told her.
He then began to awkwardly crawl through the hallway. He hadn't really noticed how narrow the halls had been until now. He knew that it was very difficult to pass someone in the hall, but that was enver one of his concerns. Now that the train car was on its side, it would be very easy to pass someone. He kept to the left of the passage where the floor was solid. On the right were the cracked windows. The last thing James needed now was a knee full of glass shards.
He had gotten half way to the back of the carriage. He swivelled his head around to see if anyone was following him.

[Andromeda]

Andromeda sighed and rolled her eyes as she heard him, she lightly bit her lip as she did when was concentrating. A smirk came across her lips as she quickly handed her bag to Sirius and took off her cloak and jumper and tossed them to Peter before putting her hair up in a quick pony tail. "Look after these, I don't want them ruined" she told them as she crouched down "James I think she's in the next carriage, Bella missed to trolley so she sent me to get her a chocolate frog and I saw a red head girl with a guy with black hair, At least I think it was her" she called to the boy as she rolled up her sleeves and caught up to him as working her way through the walk way was easier for her being small.

[James]

As soon as Andromeda was gone and he thought it was safe, Peter held the jumper close to his face and inhaled the aroma of it. It was amazing.
"Okay. You're coming too?" James asked, continuing to walk forward while looking backwards.
He reached the end of the hall and opened the door with great awkwardness. The door opened upwards rather than downwards so it would not be able to stay open on it's own.

[Andromeda]

Andromeda crawled along behind the boy she looked at him and tilted her head slightly, "Well I can show you which compartment I'm talking about if I come with you" she told him as she she reached the door and held it up and she knew it would be difficult trying to get through in a skirt, "James, eyes forward" she told him as she awkwardly made her way through hold the door open with one hand and keep her skirt down with the other.

[James]

James climbed through the door. When he stood up, he could see the damage of the derailment. They were at the bottom of a deep ravine. At the top of the ravine, James could see the back half of train still intact and on the track. However, the cars of the front half were strewn wildly in a diagonal line down the steep hill. Most were tipped on their sides while some still stood upright. Almost all of them had disconected from each other and were staggered various lengths apart. There were quite a few people wandering around the steep hill-side in states of panic, shock, and confusion. Many of them were making their way back up to the track. However, Lily was nowhere to be seen.

[Andromeda]

Andromeda climbed other and stopped and looked other the carnage in a state of shock, "I can't believe it, what cause this, Hogwarts Express is supposed to be one of the safest modes of transport" She said vacantly as she looked around now not only worried for Lily but for her sisters as she heard two loud bangs like fireworks and saw two sets of green sparks in the sky near the tracks knowing it was Narcissa and Bellatrix checking if she was safe as she whipped out her wand and aimed it to the sky and looked at the ground as she muttered the charm and sent up the same sparks. Andromeda then looked to James and looked at the wreck of the train and pointed to a carriage "It's that one where I saw the red head" she told him shaking ever so lightly.

[James]

"Okay," James ran towards the indicated carriage. He slipped and fell on the wet grass, but quickly picked himself back up and brushed the grass off his hip. He continued to scurry laterally across the steep incline, which proved a difficult task. But soon he reached the train car. This one was flipped in the opposite way as the one in which Peter and Remus were in. The hall door opened downwards, but it was quite a ways up because it was above the passanger compartments.
James turned around to look at Andromeda, 'How do I climb it?" he asked, never being able to solve any of his own problems.
