James spent a few minutes looking over the ingredients list in his book to try to memorize everything that he would need. Then he went up to the front table and grabbed everything that he could remember from the list and returned to his cauldron. He looked over the list again to see what he had forgotten to get, then went up to the front table again to retrieve it. Once returning to his desk again, he realized that he could have simply grabbed one of everything.
James looked over the list of ingredients for a third time and saw that the root of asphodel needed to be powdered. So he put the root into the motar and started smashing it with the pestle. This was indeed one of his favourite parts of potions class.

Ashley was now a bit behind everyone else in her potion making, so she worked quickly for the first part to make up for lost time.

James began shredding his dittany, before realizing that his mandrake root should have already been in the cauldron stewing. He swore, then threw the root in the cauldron and turned the heat on medium. James alternated from shredding the dittany to stewing the root.
Professor Slughorn headed back to his office, paying absolutely no attention to his class.

Remus was performing the proper stirring technique, when he suddenly heard a high-pitched squeal and a cry of "TONY!" come from the front of the room. It distracted him, so he looked for the source of the noise.
All he could see was Ashley Lotharen staring in horror at her cauldron. He figured nothing of it, and went back to his potion making.
Meanwhile, Ashley began trying to fish her rat Tony out of her partly-finished potion. He must've sneaked into her bag that morning and hopped in when she was looking away. She was extremely worried- she didn't know what would happen if he drank any of the potion when it wasn't finished. Or what if some of his hairs landed in the potion and completely changed what kind of potion it was?
"Oh no!" she whispered to herself as she tried picking him up with her spoon and pestle.

Severus was distracted by ashley. Sirius took on of his ingredients and tossedit carefully so it would land in severues's cauldron. Severus looked to his cauldron as he heard the splash. The potion exploded into a blast of smoke theowing all of snape's hair back

James laughed heartily at the chaos that was happening in front of him. He was so glad that Slughorn was not in the room. He thought it would be a swell idea to join in on the fun, so he began pulling apart pieces of sloth brain and throwing them at the back of Snivellus's head. Suddenly a thought crossed James's mind and he jerked his head to look over at Lily. Fortunately, she had not seen what he was doing. As he continued to pelt Severus's head with brains, he paid very close attention to Lily so that he could stop immediately if he looked his way. James didn't want Lily to see his immaturity.

Remus looked up again, hearing the havoc that was being wreaked. It was just James and Sirius, though, so he went back to what he was doing.
Ashley had put down her spoon and pestle, and instead began to levitate Tony out of her cauldron with her wand. It was a charm she'd learned in her first year, but it was useful nonetheless. When her rat was back in her hands, he was wet, and had turned a very faint shade of blue, but otherwise seemed all right.
She turned her wand towards the door, "Accio Tony's cage" she said, and then went back to making her potion, Tony sitting beside her ingredients, watching.

Severus balled his hands into fist seeming pissed off. He was doing all he could not to turn and make sirius's and James's teeth to grown at a fast rate.
Sirius was smiling and covered his mouth to stifle a laugh as a pieces of brain got stuck in Snape's hair.

After putting the sloth brain into her potion, Ashley heard a banging noise coming from the door. She got up, opened it, and caught a glimpse of Tony's cage before it went swooping over her head towards her table, hitting Severus across the face before it landed.
"Oh my goodness! Severus! I'm so sorry!" she said, rushing to him. His nose was bleeding. "Episkey! Oh wait, I need my wand... Okay. Episkey!"

Severus wipped his blood off from his nose area onto his cloak's sleeve. Sirius was craking up. Snape shot him a glare. "Thanks." He muttered to Ashley. He was really hateing today.

At this James burst out laughing. He couldn't manage to control himself any longer. Snape's hair was a mess, he was covered in potion and brains, and he had blood dripping down his face. This was so perfect. Lily could never love anything so hideous; she would be forced to choose James.
James looked down at his potion and got a crazy idea. Slughorn wasn't around. Wouldn't it just be so great if he just dumped his half finished potion over top of Snape's head? He pulled out his wand, and with a swish and a flick the cauldron was floating a foot above Snape's head. With a second flick, the cauldron flipped over in the air and its contents were spewed all over Snape's head.

Ashley saw what James had done, and wanted to say something. But what if he turned on her, and she became his new target? Although, that lovely Lily girl had stood up for him a couple of times, and he never did anything bad to her. Quite the opposite, actually...
... But she didn't have the nerve to confront him directly. She instead satisfied herself by sending a subtle Jelly-Brain Jinx at him as she was Scourgifying Severus.

SNape's temper flaired. "That's it!" Severus said. He took out his wand and waved it james. "Densaugeo" He said. (Spell that makes front teeth grow really big.)

James stared at the wall absentmindedly. He could feel his teeth growing. It felt so weird. He reached for his mouth and felt his teeth. He began stroking them. They were so teeth-like. James smiled. He started laughing. His teeth were like teeth. It was so awesome. As he rubbed his fingers up and down his teeth, he could feel just how teeth-like they were.
"Whoa, I've ga tee." He said stupidly.
It was the most awesome thing in the world.

Remus looked up at James. He looked rather odd. His eyes were unfocussed, the pupils dilated, and he was stroking his teeth, which were now so long they were just below his chin.
"Somebody needs to take James to the hospital wing." he said.
